I’d like to make a disclaimer:
I HAVE NEVER TAKEN SO MANY UGLY PICTURES IN MY LIFE.
Alright, disclaimer over.
I was in Fiddler on the Roof at Hale Centre Theater. We auditioned in December of last year (crazy to think that was almost a year ago), and I got a callback! How exciting! I was at callbacks till 1 in the morning on a Thursday night...long night to say the least. Anyway, about a week later, I received a call from Seth, the production manager, and he asked me if I'd like to be a part of the Fiddler cast, and of course I said, "YESSS!!!!!" I hadn't done a play at Hale since I was ten, and working at Hale is a BIG DEAL. Aka...you get paid.
I couldn't wait to start rehearsals!! Rehearsals started the next week, and I had instant friends.
These two ladies are the best!
Lindsay Rhodes Newman and Camrey Bagley.
Lindsay got married in January, and she and her husband are some of the cutest things ever. I'm creepily obsessed with them. Linds, who is basically my big sister, was able to help me with my boy problems...her suggestions helped me out, and I have a great philosophy on the ways of boys. Camrey attents Murray High School and she is just a ball of energy! She and I had WAY too many funny times...like the time she fell over during the bows as the stage started turning, or when Marcie's petticoat fell off and we both started laughing hysterically. Gosh I miss these girls.
I also got the chance to be in the play with my best cousin, Natalie! Well, the bummerish thing is that we didn't get to perform together, but we were doubles. We played the same part. We were both a girl named, Mariah. The only parentless girl in the play. Yay homeless orphans!! The picture above was taken at our cast photo that would be posted outside the theater. We both got to wear falls: half wigs we had to pin into our hair so it would be longer.
We were so exited!
Well, rehearsals started, and I had the time of my life. It is such an honor to work with such amazing actors: David Stensrued was our Tevye, and he was AMAZING. I cannot praise him enough. I miss everyone in that play!
So, as the play came to a close, I began to take pictures.
Just me and my Cam
Sasha! She was Bielke, the youngest daughter.
She is SO smart, and won a play-write contest...she's 12.
Libby, Austin, and Caden.
My venturings with the Tues/Thurs/Sat cast subbing for Natalie.
Such crazay kids. More to come about them as the pictures wear on.
Caden hitting the second highest C on the piano.
Austin stole my camera and took this snap shot because he said I looked like I was "serene." Little twerp.
I think I was reading OMF...no serenity there.
This is what the reading material consists of if you were to ever forget your homework or coloring pages.
Me and the Cadster...when he wasn't pretending to cry because I "tripped" him.
Me and Austin...our usual view of each other.
Stupid non-rotating uploader. This was taken right before we went on stage for "The Dream" sequence.
You wouldn't understand if I tried to explain what was about to go down.
Waiting for "Anatevka" to start.
It is winter in Russia, but a bajillion degrees hot backstage.
Nick Siler
Git it girl!
Russian Soldiers with cute cute Marilyn Montgomery, our choreographer.
She did a fantastic job!
My dressing room!!
from nearest to farthest:
Erin, Alli, Arianna, Lindsay
I miss our chats...even though most of them were about married life, and I'm 17...I still enjoyed hearing their stories and cute tales of wonderful husbands, boyfriends, and fiancees!
CAST PARTY!!!
all the kiddies from both casts
me and caden
me and austin
brad mcomber: my pirroette and fuette partner.
I miss how your arabesque was always prettier than mine.
TJ!!! He is the craziest little boy I know.
He thought of a nickname for me: Shnoogilybooboo McCutiekins.
hahahahaha...what?!
Nick and Austin: the Fyedkas.
Funny story...when I was called back for Chava, the daughter who falls in love with Fyedka, I had to read against these two.
I'm taller than both of them.
Mike: Lazar Wolfe.....he shaved his beard into a petafile moustache.
ME AND LINDSAY!!!!
Christopher Squires.
He has the most beautiful tenor voice I've ever heard.
Wanda and Laurel:
Grandma Tzytl and Frumah Sarah
Nate Copier.
Perchic.
He thinks he's the shiz.
He's alright.
Well, I MISS MY FIDDLER CAST SO MUCH!
wow. had to get that off my chest.
i can't wait to see all my fiddler friends in Christmas Carol!!
I heart that.
