As I sit in the library, listening to Zero Mostel belt his guts out while he sings, "If I Were A Rich Man," I begin to reflect on the year that has passed by.
First off, I've finished my first year of college! HOLY COW! (okay, if you want to get technical about it, i still have one final on thursday at 11:30, but then i'm peacin the crap outta here.) It's hard to believe that I graduated from good ol' SHS one year ago! Weird. My life has changed in so many ways, and I've learned so much! I have gained sooooo much knowledge--in schoolage, church, myself, your mom, and more...unimportant things. Mostly in unimportant things.
So, since I'm a list maker, here it is:
What Being a College Student Has Taught Me (2010-2011 Version)
1. My computer is my best friend.
2. I have severe ADD.
3. My procrastinating skills have reached an entire new level of ridiculous.
4. Netflix is life.
5. Facebook stalking is probably one of my biggest talents. It's scary to think what I can do with a couple clicks of my mousepad.
6. I am quite proficient in the Tetris field. I've reached level 13. I mean, it's not level 15, but the blocks just move so fast, and if I focus too much, I can't do it.
7. The library is an awesome place to come and sit in the peace and quiet. And procrastinate.
8. Dr. Pepper has become a daily part of my life.
9. If you try REALLY hard, you can get good grades on your tests.
10. Math 1050 is pure evil.
11. I cannot wait to be a teacher.
12. There are people that are more messy than me.
13. Sometimes in life, people like to say mean things. They usually don't mean it. Unless they do.
14. I can go a week and 2 days without showering, and still look fairly decent. Okay. Not decent at all. But I didn't smell.
15. I know that I want to live in the area I've grown up in (sugarhouse/skyline) to raise my own family.
16. Pandora is magical.
17. Skype is soooooooooooooooooo entertaining.
18. My best friends are amazing girls that I would die without.
19. Sometimes people notice when you wear the same shirt/pants for more than 2 days in a row.
20. Sometimes they don't.
21. I miss dancing.
22. I miss having my own piano to play.
23. The Guitar.
24. I love my children. (niece and nephew)
25. My bed is heaven.
26. I love having alone time--which I never thought I would.
27. Math is hell.
28. I like to go to the gym.
29. There are a lot of things I don't know about my life.
30. I have a Savior and a Heavenly Father who love me and who make my life so much better through blessings. I can get these blessings by keeping the commandments and doing my part to be a good member of society and of the church.
31. Sometimes when you laugh out loud and you're alone, people wonder if you're crazy.
32. I have a lot of people who love me and want me to succeed.
33. I can speak my mind with my friends, and we'll be angry for a second, but then we move on.
34. I think working with children is going to be one of the most amazing things ever.
35. This list is really long.
36. Getting married in the temple is the most important thing to me.
37. I love love.
38. I am chipper.
39. My brain no longer functions earlier than 8:30 in the morning.
40. Logan is great.
There you have it, the list.
It just kept going.
And going.
